Grand Meadow Seed Harvest

July 10, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join Friends of Grand Meadow as we partner with Central Texas Seed Savers and Central Texas Plant Rescue as we collect seeds from the meadow! Now is a great time to collect as the meadow begins to go to seed and before park construction begins! Help us save seed to reseed the meadow with our native wildflowers when construction is completed.

We’ll learn together how to identify the native plants in the meadow currently going to seed. We’ll also have a station for volunteers to help process the seeds and package them up! Volunteers are welcome to bring seeds home to plant on their own!

Wearing closed toe shoes and long pants is recommended for walking through the meadow. The seed processing station will be a good option for those who would rather not walk through the meadow and to stay in the shade under the canopy.

Meet us at the log circle off on Panadero Rd. Parking is available on the streets adjacent to the park. Please leave room for the buses on Panadero. Capital Metro buses 333 and 318 stop at the park.

Volunteers of all ages are invited to join us! Please share this invitation with anyone interested. And we kindly request RSVPs here.
