We know how challenging it can be to govern effectively, engage your community equitably, and manage site needs with entirely volunteer teams. That’s why we are putting together an online series to learn from others doing similar work to you!

The purpose of this 3-part interactive series is for community leaders and volunteers to engage with different topics in the community agriculture space. There will be discussion on the session topics, a Q&A with guest speakers, and engaging breakout sessions.

Gathering of Growers Session 1:

Creating Flourishing Teams

Session 1 of a “Gathering of Growers” was held online, Wednesday, May 25th, from 5:30 – 7 p.m.

Designed to be a highly interactive gathering, people joining the session have the opportunity to learn from the presenters and have small-group conversations to share experiences and explore solutions to common challenges.

Gathering of Growers Session 2:

Engaging your Community

Session 2 of a “Gathering of Growers” will be held online-

Wednesday, August 31st, from 5:30 – 7 p.m.

Designed to be a highly interactive gathering, people joining the session have the opportunity to learn from the presenters and have small-group conversations to share experiences and explore solutions to common challenges.

The online session will include several speakers from different backgrounds who can share insights into how to foster strong, mutually beneficial relationships that honor people’s diverse interests, backgrounds and contributions. This second Gathering of Growers of 2022 will focus on methods and tools for successful community engagement through the lens of diversity, equity and inclusion.
